About us:

We are Doctoral and Master’s level Program Evaluators with over 15 years of experience. We have worked with social service agencies, school districts, universities, community-based coalitions, and other non-profit organizations, designing program evaluations tailored to the needs of each program. We have experience with federal, state-level, and private funding. We can work with you to design a Program Evaluation study for programs large or small.

Lynn DellaPietra, Ph.D.: Dr. DellaPietra is a member of the American Evaluation Association and an evaluator with over 12 years of experience. She has evaluated local, state, and federally funded grant projects, including projects sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Association (SAMHSA), Drug-Free Communities, the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE), and Title V. These projects have taken place within the educational sector (from elementary school through college), the nonprofit sector, as well as the private sector. The breadth of content represented by these projects is extensive, and includes prevention of substance abuse, bullying and dropout prevention, improving the delivery of higher education courses, parenting skills training, intergenerational mentoring, cognitive-behavioral treatment for adolescent substance use, improving graduate student performance, and many more. A clinical psychologist by training, she has extensive experience in assessment and has taught research methods and many other courses at the university level. Dr. DellaPietra holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Boston College, a Ph.D. in clinical psychology (subspecialty, neuropsychology) from Drexel University, and has post-doctoral training in pediatric neuropsychology from Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard University.

Patrick Grugan: Mr. Grugan has worked with Advanced Evaluation Services since its inception. He has long-term experience in both the non-profit and research fields, and holds multiple publications in academic journals. His work evaluating a drug prevention project helped it to become a SAMHSA National Model program, and has focused on community-based programs addressing school outcomes, drug prevention, and community involvement. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Pennsylvania, and his graduate work took place at Clark University.
